    Hey guys,

I am new to this forum but have owned over 7 tacomas!

I recently picked up an 07 LB TRD sport Taco and it has some questionable suspension upgrades. It looks like a rough country 6 in lift was installed, but it has bilstein shocks in the front and rear. The upper and lower ball joints, and sway bar links were shot so I had them replaced but they still look super weird. My CV axle angle seems pretty straight from what i could tell. I just want to make sure things are looking safe!

I have looked at various trucks and cant tell if this looks correct or not.

Can you guys please help me!

    Thanks!

    -Kevin

Looks like the lower ball joint in the pic was replaced with Moog greasable joint, but its boot is missing or torn off, so I'd say time to replace it. There appears to be a spacer on top of your coil.

You can probably get lightly used OEM parts for these from the classifieds section here for a few hundred bucks.

If you plan on keeping the lift, expect to change the ball joints often. Axleshafts also.
If you have to pay someone for the work, it might get expensive.
I would have passed on any lifted truck.

Goog has made the dust boot built into the joint. So that bottom ball joint is normal.

Ok thanks guys! Ya I was hoping what rheath said is true. And for the Most part I do my own work, but I’m in college and only have an open parking lot to work in. This is my last semester so everything will be done on my own anyways. In terms of the alignment angle, does that look decent to you guys?

The zerk looks bent. Replace it.

I have a set of uppers and lowered for sale. Let me know if you’re interested.

    EDIT: Wrong gen. Never mind.

Hey man, do what I use to do in college. The apartment complex owned by the school I lived in didn’t allow working on cars in the parking lot. They would evict you if caught. So all I did was go to a different apartment complex and worked on my car there
