ARE canopy with sliding screened windoors and rhino roof track, Warn semi-hidden winch mount with VR 10 winch, nightrider 28" single row LED lightbar, Hood scoop light bar, Anytime front and rear cameras. anytime Navigation switch, plug-in oil pan heater, plug-in block heater, plug-in battery blanket. WINTER: Snow Sport plow with back-drag modification, Bridgestone Blizzak DM V2 on steelies 265-70-17.
I've ordered a 2018 TRD sport DCSB and I'm looking to mount a winch in the front bumper without altering the stock look too much. I don't really want to replace the bumper with a full new one but I was looking at a low-pro bull bar from C4 Fabrication. My dealership says it can't put that on because the winch will yank it right off if I ever actually use it. What winch mounts have you used to keep the truck looking close to stock?

Whoever works at that dealership and told you that doesn't know what they're talking about. Those low profile bumpers all mount to the frame, and are fine. I've seen a winch mounted in one pull a full-size Titan out of a bog fairly recently, in fact. Didn't even move the Tacoma.

I think those are a better option than the hidden winch mounts that just cut a hole in the chin because you get strong front recovery points as well and a little bit of protection from the bar.

Take a look at the C4 Fabrication website. In addition to the Lo Pro front bumper with optional bull bar they have frame extensions that are available at a small extra cost that replace weak OEM stuff so when you couple those with the Lo Pro bumper you have a really strong setup. Also, you can then lift the front of the truck with a Hi Lift jack if you had specified the bull bar. With sliders and the proper rear hitch piece you would be able to lift the truck at all 4 corners with the Hi Lift jack.

Does anyone know if the C4 frame extensions will work with the SSO Slimline front bumper?

I installed the hidden winch setup from CBI a couple of weeks ago. It is very well made. The directions for installing it are seriously lacking but I love the factory look.

I like this but I think the dealer is gonna say it isn't beefy enough. Is it bolted into the frame? What size winch do you have on it?

Yup i have the SSO and its solid. I have bogged my winch pulling people out its a Warn xd9000i. If 9000 lbs cant rip a low-pro off then I think you are good to go. :)

If I recall correctly they wont but are not needed as far as I have seen.

It is bolted to the frame and very solid. It has brackets on it that get bolted to the frame as far back as the sway bar. In fact you have to unbolt the sway arm to slide the brackets under it and then bolt it backup. The sway arm bolts are used for holding part of that bracket in place. I have a 12000 lb winch on it.

Who cares what the dealer says it’s your truck bro! Half the stuff they say is a load of BS.
