I’ve been looking at this for the last 4 days. Any idea when my order will actually hit the Post Office?

 

Please don't use UPS when shipping to Canada. We will be dinged fictitious import duties and fees and will be paying through the nose in order to have them clear the package through customs. Charges that are not warranted or called for by law.
We call it being UPS'd to death. F'in Rip off artists at the border.

USPS is still the best and cheapest way for us Canadians to receive packages from the US.
I will be getting a package shipped by you. Hopefully in the near future.

100% agree with this! UPS to Canada is a dumpster-fire. Ding you for an extra $50 every time.
My Nov order got shipped with USPS on the 11th so all is good.

Is that mean no tune will be email out this weekend? I sent you the ecu files i read from my truck this morning, i know I'm a bit anxious.

 

I’ve tried using bootcamp to load windows multiple times with no success. I’ll be the first to admit that I am a techno-tard. At this point, I’m considering purchasing a windows license (maybe I needed that from the beginning and it explains my failure) and/or running a virtual machine. It’s worth noting that I’ve watched YouTube videos and read blogs on the topic, but I’m still stuck. Also, I’m not interested in buying a PC. Any advice you guys can send me would be greatly appreciated. I’m at the point where I’d be willing to pay somebody to do this thing for me.

 

The licensing software and drivers does not (from our experience) work properly on mac with bootcamp or VM.

I was able to get the kit to work with Oracle’s virtualbox software and a copy of Windows Insiders preview addition. I just never connect that “box” to the internet so it never tries to do any windows updates or anything. There was a post waaaaay up the thread describing how to do this and I followed those directions. Trickiest part is configuring the USB devices to be recognized by the VirtualBox but once set up have had zero issues connecting and flashing

 

I just ran into the same issue. Waiting on a response from Mat with a fix.

 

You have to email him a file then he will email you back another file. You do this a couple times before he will email you the final registration. Then you can read the ecu off your truck. His online instructions is pretty clear. I missed a step and something didn't work, went back to the instructions again and realized i missed a step. Fixed that and everything was good. Just saying that was what happened to me.

 

Yes, followed the instructions to the letter. Emailed him the first file, and he emailed a file back. I emailed the second file, and then he asked me to run pcmflash to get the dongle serial number, though the instructions say i should have received a second file back. When I ran pcmflash, it said the dongle was not accessible. The screen showed exactly what was posted above.

 

Yah, you need that 2nd file to paste into guardiant, then pull up your serial number. I think the final key saves as ‘Answer’.

 

Ok, he never sent me a second file, he just asked for the serial number of the dongle. I'll email again to try to get that second file.

 

I am running windows 10 on my mid 2012 Macbook Pro through bootcamp with no problems.

 

It would also be super-nice if you put the value on the package as just the hardware replacement cost instead of including the software cost, to save on duty.
