btw, I mean, I know that Sears is dead store walking, but that one is pathetic. I needed two Gladiator Gearwall rails, so I could rearrange the garage a bit, and their tool area looks like Salvation Army on a bad day. After digging around, I found one rail, and the employee behind the counter said they had more on order, and hoped to have them in a week or so. I passed, and went over to Lowe's, who had 43 in stock.

 

I know what you mean...the one off Parmer and I-35 is a desolate place just begging for corporate to give up on it.

 

Funny you said that; when I went into Lowe's and grabbed the rails, there was a guy looking at the choice of garage cabinets, and he started quizzing me on what I was using. 15 minutes later... I told him how crappy the Lakeline Sears was, and he said the Parmer/I-35 location was great! I trust ya, it's been a long time since I went to that one, and when I did, it took 10 minutes to find someone that wanted to take my money.

 

We went during lunch this past Friday and had to hit Home Depot because Sears didn't have any Stainless/chrome L-wrenches...none of the sizes we needed either. Hell it looked like they still didn't take down the signage from Black Friday...

 

Meanwhile Eddie Bauer had their 50% off and free shipping going for weeks. That’s pretty much like saying our stuff is overpriced and we are desperate, so please buy something. They’re probably going down soon too.

 

Anytime I do manage to buy something from Sears, the questions about which program/card I want to sign up for is only exceeded in the annoyance factor by the 10 feet of register tape I get, with all the discount coupons. Just give me the receipt!

Thinking about grabbing me a dang quesadilla from the SAS cafeteria...Gotta go in the fab for a 4 hour maintenance event at 12:30 and gotta get some grubbs!
