I’ve seen some covers on eBay but I’ll probably try & paint them or dip them.

1st day working with the new tint, the windshield makes a huge difference & keeps the inside nice & dark:

I asked for specifics on what they used but got vague answer. I believe there are 2 components. It was done by professional auto painter. I went thru a middle man - a tint/clear bra company. Really smooth finish!

I’m in a frustrating process of changing out bulbs to LED. Went with Diode Dynamic red LED (their brightest) to offset smoked look. Look great just struggling with hyperflash - can’t get resistor to work.

Anyway, love the look but would recommend LEDs. 15% perhaps a touch too dark?

I like how subtle the metallic is on the new black. I was afraid it was going to look like a bowling ball. lol

I use Meguiars black wax. It makes the black on mine so shiny, it's almost looks like chrome at certain angles.

As for the swirls - good luck on that. I have some that just will not come out.

15% is just an arbitrary number they threw out right? There's no real way to measure it? I had a buddy tint my Silverado tail lights and he mixed black w clear and shot it all in one good. Looked pretty similar

I got more scratches than miles on mine... And I'm sitting at nearly 9k miles. :D

I gave up trying to avoid it. It's either be too scared of off roading because of scratches... Or drive it the way i enjoy, and accept the scratches as "paying to play"

I figure once the paint is totally fubar'd... I'll wrap the whole damn thing in some fancy vinyl and have a "new" truck.

I adapted that same mentality. I still take care of the paint, but when it's too far gone I'll wrap it.

This stuff is pretty amazing. Way less trouble than spending 6 to 8 hours with a buffer and cutting polish stripping your Tacoma down to bare paint then doing the ceramic. Claybar, then this. Shouldn't take more than an hour every 6 months.

You’re all over it! Waiting for them to come in. Someone mentioned 8 ohm has worked as well so gonna try that.

I considered smoking 3rd brakelight but opted not too. Found out it is already LED so prob not able to increase light output then.

Mesojdm has a prototype he is working on that looks pretty cool.

Back in using your mirrors. It's like driving one of those propane forklifts. It's my go to in busy / tight parking spots.
