Total depends on personal use. There has been times I would have had to make 2 trips instead of one. Shit, I barely have space for all my tools as it is. Remember, it's 10" length but the total volume is like 9 cubic feet

no doubt. Guess it depends what you're buying it for.

I bought mine for camping/offroading so to me the choice was simple. That extra space would be nice don't get me wrong but if you just go minimalist its not bad. I haven't had an issue with storage for camping and its even better now with the rack. My recovery boards, hi lift and shovel took up so much space in the bed and having the tonneau meant can't have anything too tall. But with no tonneau and rack, hi lift shovel and Treds get mounted, spare is being moved from factory spot to to the tip of the rack, and now I have a bunch of space and can also go high since no cover. All my gear is in plano totes which work fine for weather. Clothes and sleeping bag will be in back seat.

Will have extra space in the bed now. Besides extra space just means more weight you carry that puts us even more over loaded. I mean realistically once we account for our armour etc we're all close to that GVWR, some probably over.

Depends what you're using it for I guess. But if you really need that much cargo space might be better to get a full size lol. I didnt look at 2nd gens when I got mine a i got it this year in january but the sport would've actually be $900 more than the off road for a little bit more space I don't need.

Ya that's true. I got the long bed and double cab so I got tons of space. I do renos tho so long box was a must. I figured if I do a camping trip with ppl they can sit in the back and it's more comfy. Can split on gas which saves me some coin.

I also do reno. I also had no idea I'd get into off roading. I also had no clue what the fuck a differential was before I bought this truck, never mind a locker. I had 0 experience with anything automotive prior to this money pit...I mean truck.

Make sure you have good tires for deep snow.

For the rare side job I do I've got enough space. Don't often have patience for residential shit.
I bought it for wheeling and camping. So my choice was easy.

You drive AT's in the winter? Fuck you southern ontario guys, damn.

Last year Eric had on AT. He was stuck the most. Like all the time.
