Morning all :hattip:. Been busy getting ready for the Holidays. Finally gave up with the Christmas tree lights and just found a string that were the same color bulbs and put it on o_O to light up the bad areas. We'll put them in the corner so they won't be as noticeable. Watched Navy lose on Saturday...close game but a good one. Well played by both sides. I had 2 neighbors that were at the game. One has a Grand daughter who is a Midshipman at Annapolis and the other whose got a nephew at West Point. Driving up to Wilkes Barre today to get a car for the dealership. hope the weather holds out. Have a good day all.

    Afternoon all:
:annoyed: Just did a lot of homework to try to help another guy out on another forum and for my own information. It looks like .350 Rem, Mag. brass can be made from 7mm Rem. Mag. brass by using a .350 Rem. Mag. form and trim die made by Redding. I watched a guy do it on YouTube and it looks to be pretty simple, I ordered the die this morning from Midway USA. My buddy Jim will be good to go for awhile, I probably have over 100 7mm Mag. brass that I can form into brass for him to use until either it becomes available again or he finds some at an auction, yard sale, etc. Like I said, he ain't getting no more of my .350 Mag. brass and beggars can't be choosy! :D
BTW, RCBS makes the same die, $162----Redding----$48.48 with shipping, little bit of a price difference!!!!

Carl, I have Redding dies in several calibers and consider them equal to or better than my RCBS dies.

With the price difference the Redding is a no brainer.

    Evening all:
I have some Redding dies also, for sure equal and maybe better.
First place I found the RCBS die I thought the price might be a misprint, second place confirmed that that was that price.
Confusing at Midway USA the way they had it listed. It was under their own #, then there was the right Redding # after that, but they had it as a trim die only and the info. underneath said you would need an extended shell holder and a form die. ?????????
Called them and they checked and confirmed that it was the form and trim die that I was looking for, probably the only reason they had it in stock was because of the confusing way they described it, everywhere else was sold out of it. :goingcrazy: but I got it figured out, threw the 7mm Mag. brass in the tumbler this afternoon and will be ready by the time it gets here! ANOTHER PROJECT!

WOW, was just looking on gun broker at the price of .350 Rem. Mag and 6.5 Rem. Mag. brass and factory loaded ammo!
Also was looking into forming 6.5 Rem. Mag. brass, it is doable but definitely not as easy as forming the .350 Rem. Mag.
I was fortunate that I stocked up on brass for both calibers when it was available, boy would I would be crying if I hadn't, especially for the 6.5 Rem. Mag.!

Meanwhile the cost of everything has gone up 5%. So glad I took the government at heart and made Social Security a supplement to my retirement.

The way things are going the elected politicians will take social security from us right after the 2018 elections to pay for the impending tax reform law. You know I could have saved them a lot of time and effort just by reducing the payroll taxes 15% across the board. It would be fair for all and put money in the consumer pockets right away. I guess I am too simple minded.

They won't touch SS. It's the third rail of American politics. Besides all they need to do is piss off a few rich folks by raising the max income eligible for the SS tax, and it will be viable for our kids and their kids.

Before SS most old folks worked until they couldn't. The ones that didn't die wound up in poorhouses run by charities (or shysters posing as charities). A few lucky ones had family take them in. I'm not sure everything is better now than it was back then but I'm pretty sure us old farts are better off.

Got my statement a few days ago, cable went up, utility rates going up, gas going up, RE taxes went up, seems like everything went up and the SS raise won't cover it!
I would bet that "SOME" on pensions funded by us get a much higher COLA than SS recipients!

COLA, what's that? I'm eligible for a small pension from putting in 15 years at the steel mill. My COLA is ... ... ... zero.point.zero. I get $X/month and that is that. In fact it didn't even matter when I started taking it. If I waited until 65 or started at 62, the $ was never going to change. I guess my years of service had entitled me to a certain number and that was that. Not that I'm complaining! Not too many folks get a pension from private industry anymore.

    Morning all:
Same here Dave, pension from the Bethlehem Steel will never go up a penny. When I turn 72, I will get $20 more on my pension that they have been deducting since I'm 51, BS overpaid us on the plant closing kicker and PBGT has been withholding that $20 per month until the overpayment is paid back, not exactly a raise!
Notice I said "FUNDED BY US" pensions in regards to COLA, referring to highest level Federal, state, ect.!

I checked with my financial guy, could not decipher my statements, wondering where all my money was. He told me what I had, happy dance now. Just have to be patient a little bit longer. Of course I don't have a house like many of you, just a garage with my mobile home on a acre.

I want to thank you all for contributing to my military retirement pay cost of living adjustment (actually, I pay Federal taxes on it and my college pay, too) - supposed to see a 2.4% increase.

Lynn started taking SS this year - I won't until I retire from the college in June 2020.

Of course, it looks like the new tax plan will end up costing us money so any COLA adjustment will be eaten up in taxes. Woo Hoo!!!

If it is a large garage I would say you are doing very well.

    Afternoon all:
"Happy dance now" sounds good Duane. I own a house, nothing fancy, and have a nice garage plus a smaller 2 car garage. When I decided to buy a home it was either a brand new home on a lot, or an older home with some land and some privacy, I choose the latter!

WTH, I think they are holding the .350 Rem. Mag. form and trim die I ordered hostage!
According to tracking it was 26 mi. away on Fri. in Bethlehem Pa., it's now Tues. and I still don't have it!

Garage is 24 X 28, had some young men in the trades build it for me on Saturdays. 80 lb. roof. Asked a metal building manufacturer some years back about cost of a garage with that snow load, they had no idea, thought I did not need that. Wrote them off. Finished putting the metal roof on myself, painted myself, added electric a few years later. May have mentioned this before.

 I'm here Carl... how's things?

 had a knock on my door - 2 guys there asking if everything is ok - someone called in because there was smoke hanging around. They thought it was my house, since that's where it seemed to be centered. Wasn't me (this time) was the neighbor who had been burning leaves and paper when I got home and his fire was smoldering. We went over there and they asked him to put the fire out  :anonymous: I've never had them called on me :notsure:
