How can I run 315/75r16

looking for that perfect look of big tire and minimal lift not sure where to get some pictures or if this is even possible because I hear that tire size will drag your Tacoma down.... HELP

 

2.5" lift of choice OME Bp-51
And 4:88 gears

 

Ouch pocket hurts just looking at those lol

 

Be prepared to do the Cab Mount Chop

Trim the front fender flares

and beat the living hell out of the pinch weld in the front wheel well

 

Being pretty ain't cheap!

 

No one ever said looks were cheap...........

Maybe consider what you need to have for 90% of your use of the truck, then pick products that fulfill that need and look good doing it?

 

You can run 35's with no lift... just be prepared to do the work to make them fit... But if you're set on 2.5 its very possible, as others mentioned you'll need to trim some plastic and cut and beat your pinch weld. Also depending on what wheel setup you will need spacers or if you get new wheels the proper BS will help out alot as well. Be careful though, 35's are a slippery slope and lead to many other things to consider with these trucks.

 

33" is the perfect fit for our rigs IMO.
You can achieve this with a basic inexpensive lift...i.e. 5100's all around OME coils light racing UCA's . AAL
Looks great and functional

 

I reckon I’ll stick with the 33s

If you want to run 35s then do it!

Just be ready for the "snowball" effect as mentioned lol

 

I guess the cool part is ...33" with mild lift to clear tire's . Go on the less expensive side . If you like the setup you can upgrade suspensions to fit your lifestyle.
And if it turns out 35" are what you Really want, well then bite the bullet and do it right$$$$$ . Because it you don't the $$$$$$$$$$$ will be to fix the fallout. Lol I love my 4x4's

 

THIS. I think 33's for looks are a great and you don't have to regear or worry about cutting them out to fit like you would with dirtys. I actually just went to dirties from my 33's because I wanted more ground clearance for when I am on trail and to hit some of the more challenging spots by me. If it wasn't for the need to wheel I would have been happy with my 33s, but hey I got to clear those obstacles!

 

Not sure where @Coot83 is going lol, but I can't imagine anywhere my 33" 2.5" suspension won't take me.
But to be sure 35" on a taco has incredible ground clearance.
But if you get into a lot of off-roading/climbing/crawling..the 4:88's while pricey, sure does make life easier off the pavement. Plus it solves the 3rd gen mystery shift issues

And for gods sakes stuff an ARB air locker in the front too!!!

Its for the stuff that the big lifted trucks go. Also with my truck being LT, I naturally am a little shorter than the standard lifted taco. There is a grueling trail about 2 hours from me that if you don't have 34s, you will have to scrape through just to survive it so I finally committed to going up in dirties.

315/75R16s on a 3" lift. Big CMC, minor plastic trim, and just beat the pinch weld flat. No firewall.beating required. UCAs and forward caster are a must otherwise you won't be able to get aligned properly to avoid rubbing.

This is full stuff on the front.
