Vin creates all his wheels to fit the Tundra brake upgrade and 2nd gen Tacoma's (same size calipers). You're good to go and gave me an idea of what the 16 bronze 6's would look like on my 99 4runner in the IJM color. Looks great!

    stock-ish
I ran stock 16x7 steel wheels with Tundra brakes on my 01 Tacoma for years, but recently swapped back to the stock Tacoma brakes because I forgot that I did the Tundra brake swap when I ordered new pads and rotors. :der:

No difference in stopping power for me, I never noticed a single difference between the two, but my truck is a reg cab and I don't pull a trailer, so it would probably benefit those with bigger trucks or who pull trailers or carry weight in the bed.

With Tundra brakes being so much larger. You'd never heat them up to were slotted and vented would benefit you. But they look cool.

Ahhh ok good to know I don’t think I’m quite ready to shell out 300$ a pop for the OEM calipers haha. I’m gonna go with the Napa’s and hope for the best.

I kinda figured that especially since I live in flat Florida it’s not like I’m ever descending steep grades. Think I’m gonna go with these rotors http://www.shopebcbrakes.com/EBC-RK-Non-Slotted-Rotors/p99679?sku=
I don’t need to look cool  for the extra 125$ price difference for the slotted ones. I’m gonna pair all this up with the EBC green stuff 7000 pads I believe.

The have it labeled wrong. One is a left the other a right. Look at the second picture of each one. You'll notice different spot for line and bleeder

Chiming in because I intend on doing the brake upgrade too. Hoping I can get it done shortly after the holidays.

Napa's site is just weird. If you browse to those links from an external site (like TW) they both take you to whichever page is the first one you browse to. But, if you search for the part numbers on their site and navigate through their hierarchy, then you get to the correct R/L part numbers.

Well if it’s any help here’s the list of stuff I’ve decided to go with

    Rotors- https://www.amazon.com/EBC-Brakes-RK7158-Premium-Replacement/dp/B0084L2GDG
    69$

    Calipers- https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/SEBSE3263

    https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/SEBSE3264
    96$ each after core return

    Pads- https://www.amazon.com/EBC-Brakes-DP71657-Greenstuff-Compound/dp/B001C90W10
106$ (probably don’t need this extreme of pads but what the hell why not can’t have to much braking power in my eyes )

    Lines- http://www.lceperformance.com/Stainless-Brake-Line-Kit-Tacom-To-Tundra-Upgrade-p/1055114.htm
169$ just noticed these lines are designed for the 13we calipers not the 13wl that I plan on using. Hopefully not an issue but I don’t think it will be

Hmm, for the rotors and pads, I'd have gone OEM since they'd be about the same price or cheaper. I used Wheeler's lines rather than LCE, but either will work.

The best I could find on OEM rotors is this https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Toyota-43512-0C011-Brake-Disc/dp/B00KTIFD5U
    Or

    https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~disc~front~43512-0c011.html

And I’m pretty sure that’s only for one rotor

I do think I’m gonna go with oem pads though. I’m seeing a lot of complaints about excessive brake dust with the green stuff pads.

I’m sure ill change my mind about this stuff probably atleast ten more times before I actually order anything :frusty:

The rotors you listed were $69 each as well (at least that's the way I read the title -"rotor").

@gunny1005 - @Floridagulfcoasttaco could use a PM with pricing on:

43512-0C011 - rotors (two of these)
    04465-35290 - brake pads
    04945-35120 - shim kit

The EBC brakes I posted from Amazon do say rotor in the title but on the page itself it says it is a pair of rotors. I’m not opposed to OEM and good call on the shim kit I almost forgot that.
