Exactly and sucks that they lie and tell you that you have coverage for life..... scary and yes have ordered the part we just won't share with them that we fixed it and won't do anything other than the free (really paid for) oil changes

The rear isn’t lifted at all?

The “bricks” he’s referring to are metal spacers that go between the leaf spring pack and the rear axle. Could be part of what’s causing a thud on acceleration or stop too.

the dealer I got my truck from does the same thing with doing lifts but htye do block lifts.
No way was I letting them do my mid travel lift.

That said they are good and work with me on it. THey've said they can't warranty everything but they will work with me on stuff. Where as others will see a 1" bigger tire and try and say that voids every warranty cause they are ignorant lying cunts that really hated how I called them out on lying to me about peforming work they didnt do :) dumb shits didn't notice I had a dash cam hahaha.

Sorry to hear of your crappy experience. Hopefully you can get it fixed quickly.
Don’t do any more business with family, you now see how complicated it can get, and it’s not worth having family issues over. Family is forever, money and stuff disappear quickly.

Very reason I hate doing electrical work for family. I feel bad charging them but fuck I'm not doing it for free. Most are fine with paying as it's no where close to what it would cost normally but still. Had one aunt not want to pay.

Bartering works too, both parties get something needed/wanted, no one gets cheated.

I'll leave it up to you but if you can make it up to the St. Louis area, we wouuld be more than happy to help you install the ECGS bearing. We already have the tool

Like.vangastyl said sounds like your drive shaft. Had the same problem a 2 degree shim should alleviate the problem I tried carrier bearing drops too but never fully fixed the problem.

Toyota knows this is a problem take a look under the newer off roads they have a shim installed. I've asked a few dealers they weren't aware they were installed nor does the spec sheets include it. I saw them on only the 2017 off road modes not sure about 2018 models. Here's a picture of one.

I know is a lot to push, but if the owner buys the right suspension (needs guidance from the members what to get) front/back to do a proper lift and throw away that junk, also replace the needle bearing, would the TW guys in the area donate time, tools and knowledge to help them out and install all for them? Kind of like a Christmas gift...I would do it but I am in AZ.
I trust A LOT more the knowledge and experience of the TW members that "been there, done that" than Joe's corner auto shop and his blinker fluid refills.

    Is your truck lifted?
Usually at that speed the diff nose (pinion gear) comes down from axle wrap and the U-joint angles get messed up. Look up on YT axle wrap very popular:frusty: on Tacoma.

not to mention she'll probably bend the shock lower if off-roading from the spacer lift.

Not lifted-totally stock. I'll look at YT axel wrap.

Still feel this should not be my problem with a new truck....even if they are 'known' to have these issues.
