What kind of Flowmaster: 40 or 44

Well im going to be getting a new muffler soon. And i've been reading alot on here and have seen a majority of people running the 40's but then i've also read that the 44 is Flowmasters best one and it sounds better. So if you guys can help me out with this one, i'd appreciate. Or if you have any other suggestions, i'd also appreciate that too. Thanks.

 

I have but i've heard that the 40 series have a better, more throaty sound to them.

 

I've gotta Super 44 and its louder and has a better deeper growl...I love it!

 

Ya thats what i've heard. By any chance have you felt the difference in power and noticed anything in gas mileage?

 

Not really, maybe a little more throttle response

 

Flowmasters aren't going to provide much of anything when it comes to horsepower gains and throttle response. But the roar it lets off sure makes it feel like it does. If you want performance more than sound go with a magnaflow or a dynomax muffler.

 

I wish I didn't go 40 two chamber. Its so annoying and tinny.

 

i have the 40 series delta flow single in dual out and i love it. Has a deep growl to it.

Im stuck between the 44 and american thunder

 

This was just brought to my attention: the FM 50 has been proven to have more power.

 

I had the 40 single in single out and i liked it but i switched to the 44 and dumped it and i like it even more.

 

any of you have sound clips with these different exhausts?

my 44 sounds like a v8, 2.5" outlet changed to a 3" outlet.. (said this many times -_- sorry to those who heard it so much) jst my .02
