Backbacon is a traditional British cut of typically unsmoked bacon sliced to include both the pork loin from the back and a bit of pork belly in the same cut. It is either wet or dry cured, and is completely unlike and much leaner than American style smoked side bacon made only from the pork belly.

Its just the designated nomenclature for the trucks. There are certain features associated with the sport package, ie the 17" wheels and the hood scoop, and there may be things like keyless remote offered as standard etc. Then there are other features standard with the off road package, ie the rear locker, along with multi terrain select and crawl control, and the bilstein suspension. The pro package is a bit different though.

Al Einstein here just polished a TRD. And my mother said it couldn't be done...

 

Dang that black looks good. I could never keep it looking like that, but it sure looks great.

I just realized Toyota has two "TSS" 's now:

"Toyota Sport Series" and "Toyota Safety Sense". One is cooler sounding.

Maybe this is the answer for this thread. Maybe the "TRD" on our trucks doesn't stand for "Toyota Racing Development"!

What do you guys think TRD should stand for, if it's true to these trucks?
