I'm Cactus Kid, earned the title, and have a 1998 Pre-Runner. I have over 300,000 miles on it, bought with only 14 on it. It was so new, the dealer didn't even have time to put their dealership decal on. Unfortunately, I totaled it some time ago, and with the help of a neighbor, pieced it back together. I am now looking to do a conversion on it. So, I joined the forum to get some information.

I got the nickname as a kid on a family camping trip to the Grand Canyon. We cut the camping short and continued west to my Grandmothers in Anaheim. On that trip, we stopped to take some pictures by some catus and I wandered off, into a couple of jumping cholla's. My brother called back on the CB later to ask how the "Cactus Kid" was doing, and it stuck.

As for the conversion, I posted in the technical thread, I think it was, asking about going from a 2x4 to a 4x4, using my existing frame and body. I totaled it some time ago and need a transmission. I am thinking, while swapping that out, maybe move suspension and transfer cases and such. If that would even work.
