So in 2017 the cheaper SR5 model does not offer this blind spot monitor at all. The TRD sport model does apparently with tech package and the easy way to tell in pictures are the sensors in the bumpers. Now what about the 2017 TRD off road model, is there an easy way to tell it has blind spot monitoring from just looking at exterior pictures (not the switch inside)? Hard to see where the sensors are in the 2017 off road. thanks

My offroad has it, look at the rear view mirror area. Has a radar next to it.

That’s not easy to see in exterior pictures.

OP, the Offroad will have a plastic body colored rear bumper if it has BSM. Otherwise it will be chrome. As far as I know this applies across all models.

I thought those bumper sensors were for the audible "back-up" signal? I think the BSM detector is in the side mirror.

The TRD sports have a color keyed rear bumper regardless of whether or not they have the back up sensors. hope this helps

The actual radar device is in the rear bumper, the light that tells you someone is in your blind spot in on the mirror.

In the TRD Off Road, if it has the color rear bumper with rear sonar sensors, that means it has the tech package. The BSM is included in that package.

Just look on the mirrors. The icon is right on them.

Thanks all. Make it clear now.
Guess I never focused on offroad with plastic bumper as most I see have the chrome bumper. Just seen a picture with an offroad and plastic bumper with those sensors
