Rpm transmission at 65 per hour..help

    Hey brothers and sisters, I have 09 tacoma auto trans, what should my rpms be at 65 per hour? If anyone can help me It would be greatly appreciated...mine is around 2800 at 65 mph.. it seems like mine is not kicking into overdrive..

    Way too high. Should be closer to 2k. Start with making sure you have enough AT fluid in the tranny.

    Shift into 4 while going 65....feel a difference? Should buck pretty good.

    On stock height and tire rpms should be at 1800 in 5th gear. In 4th gear should be around 2800rpm. How many miles/km do you have?

    65mph indicated on the speedo = right around 1900 rpms in 5th gear locked.

    10 bucks says OP is putting his trans in 4 and not D, because 2800 rpms is right around what 4th locked would be.
