Looking for opinions on if it is worth swapping a set of basically new Yokohama HT G056 for a set of new GoodYear Adventures from a 2017 OR model. Mostly hiway driving, but go on some dirt roads for camping. Mainly looking for a tire with decent snow and ice traction for going to the mountains for skiing, but that I can run all year round. Found a really good price on the Goodyears. Are these worth it, or better to just go for a General Grabber AT2 or something else that is severe snow rated? Thank you!

There are 3 season tires, there are summer tires, and there are winter tires.

Winter tires on dedicated wheels would seem right for your described use. Used / take off OE wheels are cheap.

Regardless of what the ads say, there really are no 'all season' tires. (Unless you live in some place like Fl :D)

Some are ok in certain winter conditions, but they'll never be winter tires.

You might want to take a look at these tires if your into Yokohamas, https://expeditionportal.com/review-yokohama-geolandar-at-g015/
These seem like a versatile tire.
