What if Darth Vader was a normal father?

It's Leia's 16th birthday, and she's about to get her license...

But daddy's present has a manual transmission...
However, Princess Leia is an amazing woman. If she's capable of doing all the stuff she did in the canon timeline, then driving a stick shift should be absolutely no problem for her!

Once Leia gets her license and masters the art of driving stick, I could see her flying that TIE Fighter around Alderaan, blasting Shania Twain on the stereo...

I am presently visiting family in Norfolk, and I found this prime example of a 1st Gen PreRunner parked right near my aunt and uncle's house!

Believe it or not, one of my favorite songs to absolutely crank in my Tacoma is Werewolves of London.

    @Plain Jane Taco

This is one of two Han Solo action figures I had.
    [IMG][IMG]

As I said in a recent post, the Millennium Falcon had been at the top of my list for my 8th birthday. Due to the fact that we'd moved recently, my parents hadn't had the time to get me one. My mom took me to the Toys "R" Us, quite possibly on my birthday, to pick out the one I wanted. My cousin, who owns the LEGO sets I just posted pics of, had the Micro Machines version. That's the same one that asshole neighborhood kid had, and that's the one I wanted. However, I discovered a much larger version of the most famous YT-1300 freighter in galaxy at Toy "R" Us, one compatible with the Han Solo action figure seen above. That's the one my mom bought me, and I was beyond happy!

99.9% sure this is the Falcon I had as a kid...

A better picture. This particular one is going for like $230 on Fleabay. Pretty sure my parents paid less than $100 for it back in 1997...

    Hello there, Like Ninja...

From what I'm reading, this toy was in production since at least 1995, but I got mine for my 8th birthday in 1997...

The Falcon and the Landspeeder were easily my two favorite vehicles in the whole Trilogy!

And then I also got this smaller-scale replica of Vader's TIE fighter that same year (though I don't think it was for my birthday). They had a bunch of them on the shelf at whatever store we went to, I thought the realistic battle damage was pretty cool, and pointed this out to my mom. My mom had a severe case of cerebral flatulence, thought the damage was not supposed to be there, and told me to find an "undamaged" one. It took a little while to convince my mom that this was how the toy was supposed to look, and she ended up buying me the damn thing...

Here are some pictures of me on my 8th birthday, almost 21 years ago (Holy shit! I'm old!), opening presents...

Actually, in this photo I'm reading a truck magazine. I can't tell which magazine this was (knowing me, probably Petersen's 4-wheel & Off-Road), but there's one thing I literally just noticed...

That appears to be an ad for a Toyota Tacoma on the back!
    22067_1317783621908_6868817_n_a10dfa4924b548ab6dd28bafba333c3503650ab6.jpg

And then that is definitely one of the Star Wars toys I'm unwrapping in this picture...
    22067_1317812542631_894794_n_bd1cd858d41426c6f807dc113e25c81c876aadfd.jpg

I also got a 1:18 scale model Ferrari for my 8th birthday. I forget what model it was; But I know it was the classic red, it had a removable roof panel, and it looked exactly like the one in the picture below (swiped from the Interweb)...

I loved cars, and I now had a growing love of Star Wars. I had a Han Solo action figure, a model Ferrari, and one hell of an imagination...

FUN FACT: I decided to put Han behind the wheel of my new Ferrari, and to my surprise, he actually fit! Doubt even a Ferrari can make the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs though...

My bedroom at our old house in North Wales, PA (technically Montgomeryville). This was one of 4 bedrooms. The house was built in 1990, and my parents bought it brand new after the original buyers backed out of the deal. We lived there until 1996, which is about the time this photo was taken (presumably by my mom)...
