Uh...can I ask why you got tundra LBJs? If I recall correctly they do not fit on tacomas and have different steering setup..

Huh. Odd. I paid 88 bucks for 2. Should keep looking on there probably find a pair for the same price

Ha I know that looked familiar. Those are vinyl inserts for the 3rd gen tailgates.

Hahaha yup the inserts, but these ones are high profile plastic, better and easier to work with

Doesn't look too bad. Did you do any body work before the primer?

Haha sorry, I read sanding in your original post and I totally forgot. Why'd you just paint over the back emblems?

That's the exact reason I got them for since I don't have a winch installed yet.

Anyone know how much ATF the A340F has? I bought it completely drained. The Haynes manual says 2.1 quarts but it seems like it has more?

I used the Tundra LBJ because the taper near 5/8", I just passed a drill through it and my heim steering bolted to that. Want to add a double sheer tab on bottom, but this will work for now. Tacoma LBJ has wider taper and needs reducer cone to work. (I have this in old blown lbj). Bolted right up and geometry is very close.

Yeah I saw how TC originally sells this kit with a double sheer gusset - are you going to fab one of those yourself?
