What's the best whole home wi-fi out there?

I am an Android (Samsung) phone user and looked at Samsung or Google with the Google getting better reviews.

I don't have a huge house, but my current Netgear just doesn't really seem to cut it for all this streaming stuff since we have cut the cable.

    Thanks.

We have 2 ASUS routers, one upstairs and one downstairs. My house is a little over 6k sqft and we have good coverage everywhere, even outside.

I've been using a Netgear R6250 and it covers a whole floor nicely with AC wireless so soild speeds. I only have a one story house but it is a large layout and the wifi is good in the yard and garage too. Strangely it is very poor in the pool, but that might have something to do with the all the water haha.

The higher in elevation you place the router, the better the signal can pass through walls. Maybe try the 5Ghz setting if your router has the capacity?

I've always bridge-moded multiple routers together.

I think 5Ghz bands are the more easily blocked though, 2.4 has greater propagation but less throughput. AC is nice just because it uses then in tandem.

I understand that. But the 5ghz band has way less congestion from wifi spam than 2.4. Which can possibly be the issue.

Also, manually setting the router's wifi channel to 1 or 11 instead of "automatic" can help immensely. Because those two channels aren't shared channels like all the rest of the settings.
Another thing that can cause problems is a router with the same generic SSID in the vicinity.

Those two pointers have improved some of my clients poor reception issues.

Linksys Velop (3 pack) and it runs the Wifi in the house and Nest outdoor cameras too.

It was a hassle to setup and get linked, but it has been working for 6 months now with minimal problems.

I have a Linksys AC3200. I use only the 5ghz band on that router. Seems to cover a decent area.
