Hi so I have a 2016 Tacoma Trdsport and I'm looking to lift it slightly. I would also like slightly larger tires. I've been checking out various lift kits and find myself getting abit overwhelmed. I want to do this properly and don't want to cut any corners any suggestions?

There’s a search function in the top right corner, best place to look for any question you might have- chances are it’s been asked and answered at least once.

Also, look in the 3rd gen section (where you posted this thread to start with)

But, to answer your question: Talk to Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road they may be closed for the holiday, but she’s your go to.

    Oh, and welcome!

Yes. Use the right wheel fitment and you can run 33" tires with no rubbing. Tires are what create ground clearance anyway. There are a few threads around on what those wheels (Toyota) are.

Or if you really want to monkey with the suspension, just call Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and make your life easy.

Icon, kings, Fox, you can’t really go wrong with the big brands but you are going to spend money. Upper control arms are also a good idea to keep alignment within specs. If you do both of those you will be able to clear 33’s no problem.

don't forget wheel size, rim backspace offset and width affect rubbing or not rubbing.

you're definitely in the right place OP, but you need to spend plenty of time researching if you are serious about not cutting corners. lots of folk around here have to same idea.

Yes this, I went lift and wheels at the same time and I don’t have an issue. I’m actually going to be lowering the front of the truck in a few days to get rid of the pre runner look I have.
