Mine was 3.55 which was good compromise between MPG and towing power. If you tow more, get the 3.73. And get the rear e-locker. I love the fact Ford lets you get a locker in every trim, unlike Toyota. And definitely get the 36 gallon gas tank. Gets like 700 mile range. I was filling up once a month!!

Don’t discount the 3.5 eco boost (or even 2.7). They’re awesome. If I went back to an F150, I’d get an ecoboost for sure. 5L is nice as well. But that boost......its addicting. Also makes towing at high elevation or going up mountain passes a non-event.

Auto start/stop worked well. Pretty seamless. Nice system to save some fuel. I was actually getting better MPG in my ecoboost than my Tacoma.

The ecoboost is awesome for sure. I’ve got a lot of miles towing with the 3.5 and the 5.0, and I do prefer the 3.5. I loved my 2015 lariat 502a. The pano sunroof and the rear heated seats were so sweet. Regret selling that truck.

A few months ago I traded my 2015 Silverado DCSB for a new 2017 Offroad DCSB. I drove the Chevy for 60k miles. So far I am glad to have a Tacoma back. I had a 2013 Taco before the Chevy.

My opinion the Tacoma’s are more fun to drive. Suspension on the Offroad is way better. Overall I am glad I made the trade.
