Factory fender flare removal

    Can anyone tell me how to remove the factory fender flares on my 2017 tacoma trd offroad please.

    Remove the mud flaps if you have them. Remove the bolts that hold on the fender flares in the inner wheel wheels. I can’t remember if there were 2 or 4 but they are easy to find. Then pull the flares free from the truck working from the bottom rear up. They are held on with 2 sided tape along the top edge and clips in the middle. The clips will pop free. You will likely break a number of them and need to replace them. No way around breaking them. The front flares have 3 clips that mount into the front bumper. Be careful not to break them. If you can reach in from behind the bumper to free them that will help them. It’s easier than you may think. Just be careful with the 3 clips in the front flares where they mound into the bumper cover. Even if those front clips break it’s not that big of a problem as you could adhere them with the 2 sided tape if need be.

    I am replacing them with pocket fender flares will i still need the clips ?
