So I decided to change my starting battery and solar batteries up to Optima batteries. Question though, I opted to also run the Pelfrey battery cage for a group31 battery. I went with the dual purpose 31M. Any issues running that in the truck? Since its a dual purpose its both starting and deep cycle. Any downside to have 900CA?

Also swapping out the non-sealed LA batteries for these two Optima 34m's. Im cutting my ah WAY down with these but seeing as how theyre in the back of a truck i'd rather run these two 55ah batteries in series to wind up with 110ah than the 220ah lead acid batteries. Plus I have nearly 50lbs in the bed.

I had not planned on upgrading alternator, I don't have alot of draw on the trucks system, as long as nothing on the switchpro is on and im not using the winch.

Why optima, I have an existing relationship with them and have always been happy with their products.

Do you have to change to a longer cable to use the 31M ?

I’m going to rewire all of that to aluminum distribution posts.

Oh the two 34m’s are isolated and only charged via solar. The alternator is only charging the 31
