    Chains are a dime-a-dozen on my local Craigslist. I just picked up a set of four never used, V-bar, cam type chains for $80 on CL.

    As far as what size to buy, look at your tire size. Chains are usually sold to fit a couple different tire sizes. The bags/boxes they come in are usually marked with those sizes.

    Type of chains: it depends what you're doing with them. In my case I don't use them around town on city streets. I only wanted them for off road situations. So I the gnarliest type; V-bars
