    I want a Tacoma!
    Hey all,

I've been in the market for a Tacoma, all over the place from dirt old to brand new but my main requirement being 4x4, V6, and a good value.

Recently I put the word out and was offered what I've been told (and my own research seems to verify) is a bit of a unicorn in this world of Tacomas I'm dipping my toes into. There's a '95 V6 Regular Cab 4x4 with under 150k miles on the odo (it almost makes me worry its been rolled back lol) 5-speed I could get my hands on. The general condition of the truck appears to be good to above-average for the age (body looks straight, seats worn with a small tear, dash looks good, etc.).

I wouldn't have an opportunity to look over it myself before purchase, but would have a trusted set of eyes to scope it out. So I guess my questions would be...

    1. Is this truly a desirable build that should fetch a premium over other set-ups?
    2. Knowing the above, what sounds reasonable as far as price? (I'm in Southern California)
    3. Are there any specific things I should ask to see/know about before buying from the guy?
    4. Is there a trick or quick way to know if the odo was rolled back? I'm kind of skeptical of a 22-year old truck having that mileage
    5. I'm a noob, tell me what I don't know to ask!

    Thanks all!

How about you start by telling everyone what the asking price is and maybe posting some pics or a link to the add.

I think I basically have to make him an offer, and I'll get the pics off my phone when I can though they weren't much good. Its green with the little wavy stripes.

Welcome to TW buddy! Personally I'd never buy a vehicle without seeing it in person and having a trusted mechanic give it rundown. Check for frame rust!

Carfax is a good start to determine odometer legitimacy.

    Any photos? Asking price?
