So as some of you know, I recently ordered a set of Stockton wheel service custom steelies. In case anyone is curious the specs are:
    Explorer Model (72 series)
    16x7, -19mm offset (approx 32 lbs each)

So the issue is this, when I mount the wheels, in the front the back of the wheel comes in contact with the brake caliper before the wheel hub bottoms against the brake disc. So basically, I know that in order to get them to fit I need SOME kind of spacer. The issue is, I already ordered these wheels close to the offset I wanted, so I dont want to do a 1.25" spidertrax spacer or anything that size. I have seen several models of Dorman aluminum spacers in 1/4" and 1/2" styles. These do NOT use a 12 lug setup, the original wheel studs just go straight through and then you can mount the wheel on them. I am curious, does anyone have any experience running these? I have heard TERRIBLE things about aluminum wheel spacers but at the moment feel as though there is no other viable option. I say viable, because technically I could send the wheels back at great shipping expense, have stockton modify the hub section and weld a spacer of sorts onto the hub, and then have them ship them back and eventually... have my wheels again. Please help me out here if you have any positive feedback about these small trim spacers:rnb-711-916_ky_ml.jpg

Bora spacers have lots of thickness spacers to choose from.

Thanks for the quick reply, but BORAs are the 12 bolt style and they start at .75" thick. I am really trying to use as little spacer as possible, I think either 1/4 or 1/2 should be plenty because the wheel rubs the caliper just a little bit in one spot. Unfortunately that spot is right over the back of the piston so theres no way to machine the caliper to fit, my first inclination :crapstorm:

They will be OK, but you may need to install longer wheel studs. I run a set of 5mm aluminum spacers like those in the front for the same reason. BTW, I have had no problems with wheel balance.

youre a godsend dude. Thanks for the info. Curious, how long have you had them and do you wheel on them too?

I'm sure someone will say they are no good, but I've had no problems. I've had them on for 5300 miles and have done fire roads and some green trails.
