If you had $300 for your taco, and only $300, what would you do? Lights? Armor? Recovery? The world is yours! for $300 that is... :D

Depends on what you do with your truck most. If you wheel hard in rocks, then get armor. If you like night trails, get lights. If you plan on getting stuck a lot, then you get the idea. Haha.

Personally, sliders have been one of my best investments by far for my truck, but I live in SoCal and there are a lot of rocks on the trails. You also don’t find many sliders for $300 so I’m not sure what armor that leaves you with. :notsure:

If you go on the sand and snow a lot then a set of treds or maxtrax are useful.

Otherwise a diy retrofit is the first thing I do on any of my halogen equipped vehicles.

Both of these are good options although I would lean towards option 1

Just not enough money for what I would do; probably save it until I get enough to afford a new Steel bumper.

If you actually wheel, a hitch recovery point, ARB snatch strap, shovel, some cheap truck tools from harbor freight, and a CB. Proper recovery gear (even the basics) is essential to a good, safe time. My first time out I got stuck and it was a nightmare. Next trip got stuck in the same spot but was better prepared, and was unstuck within minutes.

Stereo upgrade. Can be pretty boring when you’re stuck with stock taco.

TC 3.5 LT, RCV axles, Demello sliders, BD light bar/fogs, LP6, DMZ rear, SOS skids, custom bumper, King 16" triples, Locked-on hydro rear bumps...
Skids would be a great start. Can get atleast a good ifs front and maybe a mid skid depending if he needs it to be shipped or not.
