Come on, those are custom mirrored emblems. Costs extra for that kind of thing.

It's like a rolling mirage.... designed to cause subtle brain quakes among the sensitive then.

I doubt it but it will be interesting to see what the front end of the new Ford Ranger looks like. :)

There sure is room there for a major nose job. I hopped into my old 90 p/u and couldn't believe the visibility difference. Instead of trying to match a bumper to those front end lines it would be interesting to see a chop job for a decent approach angle. Not sure if some FJ styling would look good or not.

A little nip and tuck is all she needs.

Would love to photo shop a brown paper bag over the front end of my Tacoma.

I will say the front end does look a little better paired with the double cab.

Question: Would you guys wear a football helmet with only two inches of hard plastic wrapping your noggin as you run headfirst into a brick wall or,

Would you rather wear a football helmet with hard plastic, a few inches of progressively softer foam and then a suspended elastic webbing when you ran into that wall?

You guys have a choice you know.

Is looking really cool and not running into the wall an option?

That would depend on if the government mandated crash worthiness or not. In the Tacos case the government does, so it doesn't matter if you plan on running into the wall or not. The helmet? I dunno.
Don't worry about it and enjoy it while you can. It won't be long till the government mandates you don't drive anymore anyway. Its a brave new world after all.

Yeah, me too. Unfortunately, sometimes shit happens. Many design aspects of our Tacomas are based on that long odd shit happening. Sometimes, engineers protect us from ourselves.

If safety were not a concern, we could have from the factory:

A lifted truck with big tires
A much physically smaller double cab truck
A much lighter more efficient truck
Cool Subaru Brat style seats in the bed

But, safety always gets in the way. I was the guy who ran with a sharp stick when i was a kid. I also ran with sissors...

A lot of the Taco community wants that introduced to the U.S. I don't know why.
It looks like a ridgeline to me.
