A blastful Merry Christmas for us. Shot at 500, 800, and 1000 yards and the wife did great with the JP-15 & Larue 260! 5-6 hits at 1000 between the both of us with the 260, were more consistant at closer ranges. The mini AR-22 SBR I just put together and it's extremely fun to shoot!

She loved her scooter, was extremely excited. Crashed it turning to tight in the dirt in the back yard in the 1st 5 minutes Thanks again for the help @Nitori !
She got me a Henry .22 lever action and some truck stuff!

 

I'm glad she liked it! Hopefully the spill wasn't bad- and to be perfectly fair new tires in dirt on a cold (ish) day is not easy.

This is my first Christmas away from my family on the east coast. Did the face time thing with my family which was nice, opened some presents with my other secret santa group (nerds I do online gaming with) and I ended up getting one of those Streamlight stylus pen lights I keep raving about! This one is silver.

There are turkey meatballs in the crock pot making the entire place smell delicious, I swear I'm starving right now and it's only 4:30.

I miss my mom's cookies (she made gingerbread men that were absurdly good ) but I'm happy for the pleasant weather.
Doesn't quite feel the same as huddling around a comfy fireplace, but at the same time I can walk outside with just my flannel shirt on over a t-shirt and not be too uncomfortably cold.

It was a good day, my parents Skyped in to see the kids open presents. Then my in-laws came over for lunch. Now we are relaxing with a relatively clean house and the kids watch a movie.

Wife and I got Helmet butlers, she said she wanted them guarding our bathroom.



I too got a nap, but no one took pictures of me. Haha!

The bitch is you can have an entire 4.5 ton system (Carrier or Trane) delivered to your home for under 3K. It is 2+ K for labor and refrigerant! I appreciate skilled labor, but it is not brain surgery! That works out to $250 per hour!!!!

After a week of vacation I'm back at work

 

That prime rib I smoekd came out great!

 

Let's put some pork up as well. 12 hours at 225°. When it hit 200° on the probe wrapped it in foil then in a beach towel and put it in a cooler for an hour. When it came out to eat it was still 185° and it fell a part "perfect". Cuban style pork samiches here we come.

 

That would be insanely fun. I want one now.

 

My sister puts a hole in the sidewall of my 3k mile old VW E-Golf. No big deal. Jack it up, take the tire off. No spare tire. So I take the wheel and tire to the dealer. Ya they have the tire in stock but they will only do it if you bring the vehicle. Has to be towed from my driveway to the dealer.
