So, it appears this purchase was a total scam. Opened up the box and there was an anytime CB and Western digital storage drive mocked up to be a Kenwood TM-D710GA. So pissed at people who defraud the system. Thankfully Amazon will return and refund me.

Wow, that's crazy! I'm actually surprised that got by the returns people the first time - especially because the description (as I recall) was "Used - Very Good"

It's one of the reasons I buy from amazon (vs. 3rd party sellers) though - great return policy.

 

Yeah, greater sense of security vs buying on eBay and other sites.
