255/85/16 Dick Cepek Extreme Country!

Current setup is 265/75/16 DC Extreme Country on 16×8 pro comp 7031 4.5 bs with about 20k or so miles on them. Ordered 5 255/85/16 from 4wheel parts had 1 tire in stock and the other 4 are 3 months backordered from DC. Just wanted 2 post some info and pics for others with questions on tire. Truck needs cmc and plastic trim unless i can get new alignment with more caster(I think,lol).

 

Weighed tire mounted on home scale, it was 77lbs, my old 265/75/16 was 72lbs.Last pic is drivers side mounted with full weight on tire and 38psi. Other pics are 38psi, tire on passenger side with coilover removed and uca un bolted and jacked under lca 2 stuff tire up in wheel well a bit!

 

I have these on my 15 as well. I have LR ucas so I have enough cater not to scrub the rear. It does scrub the front inner liner sometimes at full lock. Great tire so far,good in the snow too.

 

how much lift do you guys have on the 15's? I want to get these tires on my 2015 as well after I get my lift installed

 

I have the bilstein set as zero with the toytec/eibach 620lb lift spring and 1/4" spacer on driver and Total Kaos uca. Rear I added hellwig helper spring 2 give me weight hauling ability and some lift. The Hellwigs do clank a bit but eventually will coat the shackle/ubolt and that should help the noise. Eventually going with king extended travel with 700lb spring and resi rear kingz! Waiting on my BruteForceFab hybrid front and HC rear bumperz!! Also waiting on Pelfreybilt full skidz from Boss 4x4 to ship here 2 Oahu.

 

Nice! I just ordered ADS 2.5" 650lb extended length coilovers with remote resi and medium Dakars for the rear from Headstrong

 

Good to hear they are decent in the snow (I assume you're referring to snow on pavement). What tires were you running before.

 

Duratracs,which were awesome but couldn't get them balanced. Probably gonna need at least 2.5* caster to not rub the rear of the front flare.
