    On National Wreaths Across America Day each December, volunteers will place wreaths on individual veterans' graves in over 1,100 locations throughout the U.S., with ceremonies at sea, and at each of the national cemeteries on foreign soil. This year that day falls on 12/16/2017 and we will be part of an event to place over 17,000 wreaths on veteran gravestones at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

    The cemetery is located beside part of the Croom WMA and is only about a 25 minute ride from Citrus WMA. Once the ceremonies are over we can break off for trail rides or meet up at the VFW down the road for lunch. As the event date gets closer I will post more info for everyone. Including a meeting location and an exact time table of the events for the day.

    As I recall, you can, in fact, place a wreath on a loved one's grave. The way it worked last year, we really weren't assigned a section. We just went to a trailer that didn't have a crap ton of people lined up at it already and went from there. I'm guessing, at worst, you could just line up at the trailer in the section where your loved one is and then place the wreath once they start handing them out. I'm not sure if you can make specific arrangements though.

    Seems like to me one of us did that last year...placed wreaths in the section we wound up in and then took the last wreath they were given and placed it on their loved one's grave in a different section. I could be wrong about that though; I am afflicted with CRS. :oops:
