C-c-c-cold here too. New wood stove is paying for itself! I had the whole house warm for holiday guests, now we're back to warm only where we need it. That's what sweaters are for.

It was pretty awesome. Right there at the dinner table, family all around watching, ages 12 to -- ahem -- 'a certain age'. I hope it sticks. They've both been married twice before -- 3rd time a charm? I'm rooting for them.

I've been meaning to post this but finally got around to getting the pictures moved over. I live on a wooded lot and clean up leaves starting in September and ending in November. Even after that, some trees still have leaves on them -- and other stuff. This year, on December 21 or so, I ran the mower one last time to hoover up all of the poplar seeds that came down. I collected two full bags, and that wasn't all of them -- the mower is only so good at sucking them up off the ground. !@#$%^&*()_+ poplars.

I raked my lawn one last time over a week ago, getting the maple seeds off the grass, a wheel barrow full.
Got in the truck to get some more spray paint and have pizza in town and the tpms light came on again, truck didn't want to go normally, had a drag. Got out, flat tire, must have been the wheel that hit a rock yesterday coming home. Aired it up, then got to thinking if it didn't hold air, I'd be changing the tire in the cold and dark in town. So hurriedly put one of my new wheels on and got all taken care of, even dropped the wheel off to get fixed. Pizza was great, got a large, so three meals out of it.

    Afternoon all:
Not doing too good on the muzzleloader hunting! :(
Either the deer are too far to shoot at, not enough points, we miss, or the flintlock don't fire!!! :frusty:
I saw 5 break across an oil line that were too far away to shoot at, and also had 2 buck come out almost where I was on stand, of course I already had my buck and couldn't shoot another one!
My buddies SIL missed a doe, had a Y buck standing in front of him that wasn't legal, and 3 buck came out in front of him today and the gun didn't fire. :frusty: :frusty:
My buddy, who is probably the best shot, hasn't had an opportunity at one yet, maybe next time!
The only good news is that we're seeing deer.

Of course, I needed a new helmet - this arrived today. It's got both shaded and clear flip-down lenses, or you can put both up for no lens. I've got a friend who makes custom decals who is going to make me a new decal to cover the red star.

My grandson called me a few days ago. He backed his 2008 Tundra into a pole & crunched the bumper pretty good. Got him a new bumper & told him to come over & I’d help him replace. My job is to provide tools & instructions. His truck, his labor. He’s only 17 so I made him use ratchet & no air tools. He needs to learn the hard way! Difference between the 2 bumpers was the mount. Old one had receiver hitch, new one didn’t. So- we had to remove bumper cover and swap out the mounts. Took him a couple of hours but he’s proud he did it himself.

Oops from above. Lucky he didn’t dent tailgate!

New bumper out of box- my Tacoma in the garage.
    IMG_4010.jpg

Comparing mounts. You can see how much longer brackets are on old one with receiver. Had to do some hammer work on one mount. My son stopped by to help his son.

    Good as new!

Good education. Big truck for a young lad. Like the scenery there, not something I see up north here.

It could have been a lot worse.

Glad he is taking pride in his repair. Did a good job.

I could not help but notice the director's chair. Yours I presume.
