I'm from Atlanta, GA but have found myself in the frozen tundra of WI for some reason. While I was driving up here, my CEL lit up. I took it to the dealer in Rockford, IL and the code was: P0014. The next day it came back on and when I took it to the dealer they said it needed a new OCV (Oil Control Valve, Bank 1 Exhaust). Apparently there are no new parts available at this point and they said it would be o.k. to drive it home. Does that sound right? Can I make the 900 mile drive with the CEL on? I don't want to screw anything up but I also don't want to have an issue at 20k miles and have Toyota say "you shouldn't have driven it so far with the CEL on."

I'd get it in writing. Just in case. You're probably fine though.

    Flashing or solid?

IIRC flashing is 'Danger Will Robinson, stop now'.

As opposed to solid meaning hey, there's a problem, check it out.

So assuming it's not time to change the oil, do you notice any drivablity issues? Reading the above article makes me wonder if you might be down on power or have reduced MPG on your trip home.

Light is Solid (not blinking) and the paper copy indicates that there are no parts available and as a result I'll be driving back to GA. I could easily stay another day or two if it was an emergency but everyone at the service center seemed to think it wasn't a big deal. Or Toyota could give me a rental but they'd have to figure out how to get it back because there's no way I'm going to be this far North again for a few months. I just wanted to check with y'all.
