I have a MX4 Tonneau and like the security I have when the tailgate is locked. I bought a POP and LOCK to have the convenience of pushing a button to lock/unlock the Tailgate along with the other doors. (I have not installed the POP and LOCK yet) I started thinking and it seems to me, I'm losing some of the security I get with a Manual locking Tailgate. If someone were to break the glass, they can just hit the power lock button and be able to access the Truck Bed. I'd appreciate any advice or perhaps a work around. I thought of maybe installing a switch in the glove that would take the Tailgate out of the loop when locking/unlocking. My Honda Ridgeline had that.

You are absolutely right about it, and if you are worried about bed security then most probably will have to install the cutoff switch. Which IMO kinda negates whole convenience factor of Pop and Lock.

And you can use a hanger with a little bend at the end and shove that under the MX4 and grab the release and open the MX4 that way without breaking windows.

The point is to stop the casual thief who checks the handle to see if it's open. A determined thief can get into damn near anything.

I have a Pop-N-Lock on the tail gate with a Roll-X over my truck bed; even so I still have a master lock and cable on stuff that is "stored" in the bed.

You are thinking about this too hard. The average crackhead needing stuff to take to the pawn shop is not going to know what a pop and lock is and how it works.
The guys that know what it is have experience and they are going to get in no matter what you have.
Go ahead and install it, it will keep the random lock check people out. Other than that, sitting in your truck with your glock in hand is the next best option.

Thanks for all the great advice/opinions. One of reasons I love this forum.
I think I'll install the Pop and Lock and if something is especially valuable, I'll chain and lock it.
What got me thinking about this was my Truck just had it's right rear door glass smashed.
The didn't even open the door after. They just reached in and checked under my dog blanket.
They found a bag that had Bungie Cords in it. They just threw that on the sidewalk where I found it.
My Truck was just over a month old. I had valuables in the Glove and center console but I guess they either lazy or maybe
    they were disturbed.

    Anyway, thanks again.
    Happy New Year everyone!
