    Hey guys,

Is there a way to secure (lock) your vehicle while it's running?

I know there are several methods to do this.. however I don't want to risk messing something up or locking myself out.

Reason asking, it's cold as hell out and would rather let the truck warm up for a few minutes before departing. My work garage is pretty secure but I'd rather precautious about it.

Take the key out of the fob and manually lock the doors. You will also have to manually unlock them when you get ready to re enter. I do this often because I leave my dog in the truck.

Yeah, I usually start the truck and roll the window down. Once I’m outside, I lock the truck using the switch inside and hit the auto window to roll it back up. When it’s time to get back in I pop the key out of the fob and unlock it.

I’ve also read that it will run for 20 min then turn off. It’ll also turn off if you open the door but that is just a minor inconvenience.

It’s not cold here often so I haven’t justified it yet
