Can anyone give me a hand here? I just installed a set of HIDs and I was left with a "extra" plug by the end. :facepalm:I can't for the life of me find what it plugs into. All the lights work, cycled thru blinkers, hazards, hi/lo beams, fogs, etc. I was real careful to keep track of anything I unplugged which makes me think I must have accidentally yanked it out of something, maybe while moving around trying to squeeze behind wiper fluid reservoir.

So far here's what I got:
    -passenger side
-From what I can tell it doesn't go to any of the lights.
-It's part of the same harness that plugs into the wiper fluid reservoir.
-All wiper functions are as normal including and the spray works as well.

here are some pics for reference.
Thanks for any and all help.:help:

If anyone would be willing to take a peek under their hood for me, I would be much obliged.

My Morimoto has an extra plug on the passenger side. It is not used because only one of the oem plugs goes into the main relay harness. You are good.

Most of the HID kits don’t use both of the original low beam headlamp connectors. Usually they only use one side. Check the other side low beam connector and see if it’s a match.

Someone else posted this and it ended up not being used from the factory. It had to do with a wiper fluid sensor or something IIRC. So you're good

    This.

I think it was only used in Canadian models.

Mine is a US taco and only my driver side headlight plug went into the hid relay harness. Passenger side just hangs out and flops around because I’m too lazy to do anything about it.

Thanks everyone! So I checked and my kit uses two relays, one for each side so I wouldn’t fall under the “unused” plug as other HID harnesses. I also checked of it matched the driver side low beam plug as Skylinekin suggested above... no match, so I don’t believe it’s a light plug.

I have a US taco, I leaning towards the above suggestions of Canadian use only. I’m still looking but haven’t found anything solid.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
At least put some electrical tape over the end to keep water and contaminants out. Never know if it may be needed later?

Had it on mine also, it didn't go to the light wiring it was taped to the washer harness and didn't have anything plugged into it from the start. You start with the extra plug.:D

Should be plugged in somewhere on your windshield washer reservoir

Do the Canadian models have a heater for the windshield washer reservoir? I could see that being useful up north. That would be useful in the northeastern quadrant of the US right now as well.

ok so the only extra plug i have left on my install was the passenger side oem plug light. As stated by others only the driver side oem plug gets plugged back into harness.

as for plug on the washer fluid tank yes for my truck there is at least one plug in them bottom of it and yes i would imagine its for my low fluid level sensor

i don't think any Canadian models of the truck come with a washers tank heater but there aftermarket options available https://www.amazon.com/AlphaTherm-AT-38OD-Windshield-Washer-Heater/dp/B0034GW1WW
