I found a good deal on magpul 1911 grips and snatched it up. But I can’t decide if I like wood or black grips better. I think the black looks good with the other black parts.

I'd go with the grips that feel the best in your hand.

That's why I've still got the Hogue monogrip on mine. Looks ugly as sin, but fits like a glove. Same thing with my model 19; don't look as nice as wood, but fits my hand perfectly.

Haven’t posted in a bit. Here’s a bob tail with vertical serrations I just did for a customer. The gun also went from a mil spec grip safety to a Beavertail.

This is the same gun you see progress pics of above.

I found the wood grips a bit too slick. Found some Zombie green Hogues.

I think I’m going to use the black magpul grips. I like that it is slimmer than the wood grips and has a cut out for the magazine release. But I’m still going to keep the wood grips incase I want to go back to a more traditional look.

Have you checked out VZ Grips? I have two sets of their slim grips with the thumb relief cut. Lots of 1911 options to include the classic double diamond.

I'd take the 6" in a .45 if they offer it.
