On a 4r, started with 885/5100 before adding armor. Was like a firm ride, could drive like Mario no problem.
After bumper/winch/plates, ect, due time felt too soft back to stock feel and driver side spring sagged a little.
On 886s now, definitely stiffened up the front, back to driving Mario again. Have to go run there shocks or better, rebound not perfect with there shocks. Plus side, I got 3.5" lift doing this. No CV bind. They definitely are for a v8 comfort suport.
    I'm a v6.

You should hit up lake De Val out there. I've heard it's got a lil action from a coworker. I need to check the fishsniffer site see what's going on.

Not enough to have a build thread.

Ok, now i have to ask. Is the norcal region against solder for some reason? I solder almost every electrical repair i make at work. especially circuits that are sensitive to resistance - like sensor wires. I use RMA solder and make sure it penetrates thoroughly. what's the issue?

Some say that the brittleness in the wire adjacent to the solder joint will cause the wire to break over time in a high-vibration environment. I've always soldered and never had a failure. I am incorrigible.

A good piece of heat shrink should help prevent that. And I've found broken wires inside the insulation without a solder point close by. If it's going to break, it's going to break. I don't think butt connectors are any better. You're creating a stiff spot with two bendable spots on either end. The bendable spots will flex as time goes on and break since the whole length of wire isn't malleable and moving together.

Idk. I'm going to keep soldering.
