Titebond 3 is better because a lot of people don't do a good job of caring for their boards. They will let it sit in water or not oil them. Titebond 3 holds up better.

The first set (regular checker board style), i actually hand planed. It wasnt too bad, keeping a sharp iron was key. The second set (plaid style), i ran through with a fresh set of knives on my DW 735. The first pass ended up nicking the blades, and i had to sand out the ridges.

No planner after the glue up. End grain and planers don't go well. I wish I had a wide belt sander that is like a planer.

True, but the glue failing usually isnt the issue, its the different woods swelling/drying at different rates after being wet, that causes the boards to crack.

I was thinking a belt sander would do a pretty good job if you take your time and go slow.

They do, just have to be careful to try and keep it flat.

I wouldn't do that to anyone. She's a nightmare. Cute. But a nut job.

The glass was a tw secret Santa gift a few years ago.

If you take care of the cutting board it will look like that forever. So might as well use it.
