I'm one of the lucky people to have practically unlimited access to hunting wild hogs, and do so year round. Gun mounted red flashlights have really changed how I hunt hogs at night, and now I'm curious if I could add some red LED light bars to my truck as well for the times I feel like sitting in the truck or just when cruising around the lease after dark.

I see there is a company called elusive wildlife just down the road from me that sells LED light bars geared towards this, but they are a little pricey. Are there other options out there? Many of the red led bars I have been able to find seem to be a very bright red, geared towards more of an emergency light versus the more subdued, darker red like I have on my sniperhawg hunting flash lights.

I have had better luck with Green light Hunting Hogs than Red light. We use a clear LED light bar with a green Lamenix applied to the lens. Just my .02

Kill as many of them as you can they will make more.

Cheapest, easiest, and most versatile set up would be a regular white light bar, with red cover

I'll look into lamenix. I know a lot of people like the green, but I seem to see less when stalking using the green lights. I took a friend out who only hunts with green lights in other areas of Texas, and after the weekend he agreed it seemed like the green light was not working nearly as well as he was used to

We have green motion lights on our feeders, so when we hit them with our green lights the Hogs hardly ever run. Nothing like some night blasting.

Forget red lights. This is how you roll hunting hogs:

Careful ya all. Check the regs before doing any night hunting. They vary from state to state. Some states allow zero hunting at night. Some states allow only pig hunting at night. Just saying check the regs and be careful.

A friend of mine goes every February to Texas for a hog hunt. They can't kill enough of them to even keep the population level.
