    Ive been reading the threads,

Looking to put down more light on the backroads. For quality replacement bulbs it seems to be a minimum of 300 dollars. For a Cali Raised Light bar the price is about 280 dollars.

It seems like the light bar plus standard lights is the way to go vs just replacing all 6 bulbs with LEDs.

    Thoughts? Recommendations?

LED bulbs are all garbage. If you want reliable and effective lighting, skip LED “bulbs.”

Doesn’t matter what the brand name is or how much they cost, they’re all $30 on alibaba, straight from China.

Light bar as new bulbs are a waste cause our projectors are trash.

Thanks all! I was looking at the Morimotos - they seem super popular, but man I cant see spending that much for a bulb. Sucks they don’t live up to the hype.

The light bar seems like the way to go, that is what I was leaning towards. Is the Cali Raised 32” the way to go?

Bulbs are good, but our stock projectors are trash. Need a full retrofit to make the most out of the moris.

Light bar for off road use.. They're trying to pass more laws for them in my state because douche canoes in their trucks (Jeeps, Chevy, all of em) are riding around on the highway with them on instead of their headlights.

Kind of off topic as this is about colored lights, but in TN, colored lights (think Crayola 8 pack spectrum) are now illegal on your ride.

Good Info thanks, I am not big on the colors but I was hoping for occasional highway use.

I'm sure it would be fine as long as no one is around. It wouldn't affect anyone else, right?

Where I live, when it gets dark it gets really dark. There’s a lot of roads with absolutely nothing on them for dozens of miles, so combined with the darkness the headlights really don’t do anything. It’s like the light just gets swallowed up by the darkness. Not so with the light bar. That thing will light up the night so that it’s safe to drive at highway speeds. Can’t recommend it enough.

The ones I used on my Gen 2 Tacoma worked without issue for 2 years. I gave them to a friend who uses them on his older Tundra and he says they are the best lights he's ever had on the truck. I actually bought them again for my Gen 3.

You got a unicorn set, if that’s the case.

    I’d buy a lottery ticket!
