Happy New Year, everyone!! No excuses needed to get the new toy out...so I took it out today to clean the 1/2" of snow we had overnight off the driveway. :)

Yes! Perfect place to give direction! Also worked perfect For rolling it under the truck until he got a few bolts started.

WTG Steve. Get him started young. I started working on my cars at 16 and stayed with me for a long time. Now I pick and choose what I want to repair. Sadly I am on longer 16.

My son saw this and wants one. The problem is he can now buy one without my assistance.

Problem is no shed to store it in. I have planned an extension on to the 8X4 lean to shed this spring. It is slated for the snow blower in the winter and a yard cart in the summer.

    Afternoon all:
OH BOY, definitely one of them years!!!! :annoyed:
My buddy and I went hunting this morning, his SIL didn't make it! I figure my buddy is pretty proficient with a flintlock, so I gave him a break and made 3 drives trying to push deer to him. On the second drive I put deer out, but they broke out the side and didn't go out towards him, oh well. The next drive I pushed deer into him, he was on one standing, pulled the trigger, and nothing happened, deer ran off!
We put pipe thread protectors over the frizzen as a safety measure, and when on stand we have the gun on full cock with that protector over the frizzen, that way we just pop it off and there is no noise from cocking to alert the deer. Well, he forgot to remove the protector before he fired at the deer and it worked exactly as it is supposed to, NO SPARK and the gun didn't fire! o_O

Carl, the only logical solution is for him to drive for you the rest of the season.

    Evening all:
He is better with a flintlock than I am, I'm iffy, usually if he has one in the sights he will get it.
Last year the flint fell out, this year he forgot to take the cover off, he's a mess in his old age!
He did a lot of the driving so far this year, we consider a drive when someone still hunts toward a stander, figured it was time to give him a break. Normally he/we can catch deer standing, but it's too noisy walking and there are coyotes and a bobcat in the area, the deer are really on high alert for anything that moves!
