Oh good, you've got information my insurance company doesn't have. Can you show them your data so I can get a break on my son's policy? I'd really prefer to pay what we pay for my daughter. (Well, she pays half. My boy is NOT going to like that he pays more than her)

Honestly, I'd feel better about my daughter driving the taco than most anyone else. That girl gets it. I had to just about threaten to ground her to get her to learn to drive MT on it. "I don't want to wear your clutch out", she says...smile tears (from me- and yes, I'll turn in my "man card" for crying about my daughter being a responsible badass)

Looking forward to seeing your "repair mods", @Gettin Lost !

I did this myself during my first week of ownership. Backed into the corner of the garage plowing snow. That hurt. Plan to fix it myself with info gained from this forum. Already bought the part from Rock Auto. Just waiting for warm weather, and waiting........ it's 6 degrees outside right now. :annoyed:

    Ha! Revealing.

No hard feelings here. It was a much shorter than average joke, and frankly not very satisfying.

This is mostly due to the fact that our driveway is short and oddly shaped. So, you have to turn into our small-ish two-car garage.

A few years back, I had one of our cars in the driveway while changing tires on my motorcycle. My Wife was backing out of the garage, trying to avoid the tires that she couldn't possibly run over, and backed into the car in the driveway.

A year or so after that, I did the same thing. A friend parked in the driveway in a good spot. We were laughing about something as I was backing out, I forgot his car was there, and cranked the wheel too far. He had just got his car back from the body shop that day after getting rear ended.

It was all good as a few years earlier he T-boned me. We were both on our motorcycles and he didn't see my turn signal. It felt like the hand of gawd launched me. I was actually laughing before I hit the ground and honestly couldn't stop laughing for 15min. Minor scrapes all around, except for his cracked rib. My laughing was a bit of a problem for his rib.

    Good times!

I use it as a reminder to my wife when she gets mad at me. Also saving it for the kids when they start driving.

1st off it's your wife. If she meant to do it on purpose she would have totaled it and laughed at you lol.
2nd There is no reason to get mad at your wife because of an accident.

I'm with you man. My wife also knows what I'm capable of and there is no reason to get mad at her for a mistake. Shit happens and life moves on. What sucks is that now you have 2 vehicles to buff out. Too many people in this world flip out for no damn reason.

Exactly why I don't let people drive my truck lol.... I've only let a girl that I am seeing press the gas when I was trying to jam shit under the tires to get out of a mud hole. If someone isn't use to driving a truck or anything larger then their car, they will not be practicing in mine.
