Did you get the 2nd gen rear axle installed yet? I have one I'm going to put on my first gen so I'm interested to see how things work out for you. Awesome truck!

I did, still running all pro 1.5" spacers so the track width matches the front. Works the same as the previous axle. I did have to cut a fair bit out of the bedside so the wheel didn't eat it at full stuff (wouldn't be an issue if I weren't running the spacers)

Did the driveshaft and e brake cable attach easily? How did you end up mounting your shocks? Inside or outside of the frame?

Drive shaft bolts up. Idk about e-brake I converted to disks in the rear a long time ago. I set my shocks up in the same location they were before (inside the frame).

Come to think of it. I can say for sure e-brake won't work they use a totally different cable set up. Also if I had this axle when I was setting up my rear end i would have put the shocks outside the frame to keep some room in my already tiny bed.

What discs did you use? What did you do for an e brake?

I'm planning on using a spring under setup and relocate the shocks outside of the frame with a low profile bed cage to keep as much bed space as possible - like you said they are pretty tiny to begin with lol

So the old 97 4 runner engine took a dump on the first real road test and was too far go to be worth rebuilding. Then I got ripped off on a jdm motor that was full of water and lost $500 on that deal. Finally pickups good 130k mi tundra motor from a salvage yard re sealed it did timing belt pugs and what not then decided I waned to go turbo again. Whipped up a manifold from some old headers, traded some parts with a buddy and picked up a wee little Greddy t517z. Also a pic of the catch can I built.

Draw through maf, AEM meth kit 500cc nozzle, non intercooled, bov vented to atmosphere, 6lbs. Afrs arnt bad 13.2 part throttle boost, 12.5 at wot with 10 degrees.

@livel0veryde When you put in the 2nd gen axle, how did you do the brake lines - just use the 1st gen stuff or custom brake lines?

I did all new stuff, and switched to disks at the same time. You can make the second gen stuff work though, just have to keep the t fitting of your first gen.

Thanks man - double or nothing, how did you do the e-brake - did you run separate cables to each wheel from a y in the cable like 2nd gens or something else?
