you probably know this -- 16,17, 18's AC's only have long beds-- no such thing as a AC short bed-- Anymore

I don't think the Access Cab ever was available with anything other than a 6 foot bed.

I've lurked here a long time. Thank you all for the many helpful posts over the years.

I went to my local dealer on Long Island, NY. I "ordered" a 2018 DCLB OR in quicksand. I haven't seen any 2018's near me at all yet. The dealer said it would be 6-8 weeks to get it in. As of yesterday, there still wasn't a VIN produced for the vehicle. Dealer said that should be soon. Once a VIN is produced, they said it shouldn't be much longer. For whatever that's worth.

    Brand new so nothing yet.
I think they send them to Maine. When I was looking for my 17 all I could find was the long beds. Nice to have the long bed I guess, but they are so goofy. I finally found my short bed after a few weeks of searching.

Saw one yesterday at my dealer. They look odd to me. I have a reg cab long bed and keep it loaded with a toolbox and tools. A short bed wouldn’t provide enough room so I can understand the need for a long bed with four doors, but a full size big three truck would be the same length and get better mpg and more power and towing.
