Digital speedometer doesn’t match analog speedometer.

    If you get pulled over for speeding and the officer says you were going 72, you can say "digitally speaking, it was only 70".

    This is not an issue. 1mph is considered very accurate. Try driving a VW. Those analong speedos are up to 8mph "fast". My BMW 335i was also off by at least 5mph. In all vehicles I've had the analog speedo is always slightly faster than actual. Some more some less.

    Yeah id also prefer being 1-2mph off than 5mph in the 335. I can understand how frustrating it can be not being used to it.

    Ahh THATs what that spinning thing is, a SpeedOMeter. Good to know, never used it before. :anonymous:

    All gauges are calibrated for a sweet spot, typically about 45 mph, or in some cases near the halfway point. Digital speedos have delays to keep them from “blinking” as well. Neither is likely labratory grade correct. Then add in temperature, tire inflation and of course different tires and it gets even worse. My recommendation is get a radar detector and just drive like a lunatic.
