Yep it is a SR but bought it with the color matched bumpers back in 15. Guessing someone ordered it like that and didn't want it. Was one of the first 3rd gens in the area!

    Damn it!

I know how to drive stick, but us Americans as a whole are wusses compared to the rest of the world. Americans don't want a third pedal!

Or someone swapped out the bumpers...

Though, the 2004 Honda Odyssey brochure will tell you that you MUST get leather seats to get the rear-seat DVD entertainment system and the upgraded AM/FM CD/cassette head unit that comes with it...

My parents bought a brand new '04 Odyssey EX with cloth seats off the lot in May 2004. Our van, along with several other cloth seat EXs, had a DVD player. I think the dealer installed DVD players in the cloth seat models to sell them quicker to make room for the then-new '05s.

The 2nd and 3rd gen Tacos are larger than the old compact trucks. But I would believe that a Ranger from back then would be bigger than a similar era Toyota. I had a 1997 Ranger and my memory is that things like the doors were thicker than the 1991 Toyota I replaced it with. So the external dimensions probably were larger. That's part of the reason the newer Tacoma is larger, it's less of the old Japanese tin box construction. But even so the wheel base and track on the newer Tacos is larger, so there's some dimension creep happening.

The second gen Taco is definitely bigger. I’ve always had Rangers until I bought nun taco in 2013.
I didn’t realize how much bigger it was until a I sat in a Ranger recently. It’s definitly bigger.

We went from a '94 Mazda B4000 (same as a Ranger) extra cab to the 06 Taco access cab. I measured both and the Taco is a few inches bigger in all external dimensions. The biggest thing I hated about the Mazda was that it didn't have extra cab doors and the driver seat doesn't tip forward.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
I had a 94 Ranger with 4.0 V6 and 5 speed. I'd find that powertrain and drop it in, fix the heater issue and tailgate, and drive it in the winter. Mine was great.

    1. There is no reason to change oil every 3000 miles. The oil change places promote 3000 miles to increase business/profits. Follow the owners manual unless you drive in severe conditions such as pulling trailers in hot weather, driving in very dusty conditions etc. Synthetics do the following vs conventional oil - provide greater engine wear protection,, keep you engine cleaner, better protection in high temps., flow better in cold temps., retain wear protection properties longer than conventional oil. You can run synthetic longer than conventional, make sure you have a quality filter.

    2. Switching between oils, synthetic, similar synthetic, conventional will not harm your engine as long as the oils all meet manufacturers specs. It is better though to pick one oil and stick with it.

    3. When your boss switches from synthetic back to conventional oil it will have no, zero, nada effect on the engine.

Great, thanks! Plus, my boss drives a Honda so it's not like I had much doubt anyway...

Hondas have proven themselves over time to be quite unkillable...

When I was a kid, I went on a tour of Alcatraz with my family (we were living in Mountain View, CA at the time). This was sometime in 1997, when I was in 2nd grade. After I brought a bunch of stuff in from Alcatraz for show-and-tell, my friends and I decided to play an Alcatraz-themed game of cops and robbers. I guess in this case, you could call it Prisoners and Prison Guards. We formed make-believe guns with our hands and engaged in a pretend firefight. Guess what...? Nobody cared! We had a great time, though if I remember correctly, me and this girl Alex I was friends with were having so much fun that we missed the bell and ended up getting tardy slips for walking into class late. We didn't get in any serious trouble for showing up for class late, and we didn't get in any trouble at all for our prison break game...

Nowadays, you hear about kids getting suspended for playing such games and pretending they have weapons...

    Absolute BULLSHIT!
