It's not a solution but a good temporary fix, i always carry a few rolls of Duck Wrap Fix in my truck. It's like surgical tubing meets electrical tape. I wrapped my torn CV boot with this stuff before a 9K mile cross country trip as I had no time to replace my boots before i took off. When i got back to MA from CA and everywhere in between the temporary fix was still working. The water resistance and flex of this stuff allows for an almost water tight seal along with the flexibility needed with CV Joint travel. I know this is a point of frustration for almost everyone on here.

Icon/TC Mid travel, TRD S/C, PNP Greddy EMU, 625cc injectors, 2.2 pulley, Hayden tranny cooler, AEM wideband, TRD boost gauge.
Added that duck stuff to my Amazon list.

Was at a friends shop and noticed his UTV had a really modest shield of what seemed to be flexible plastic. So maybe just some tabs welded to the LCA, tap them and screw on some cut up plastic.
