    This might be a @tcBob question/suggestion, but is there a way to flag perma-banned members' IP addresses, as well as screen the IP address of all new members before they join?

    I don't know how the staff sniffs out duplicate accounts, but I would think that blocking them from being created in the first place would be much easier than finding them after-the-fact.

    We have a number of tools and process we use in identifying banned/duplicate members and new member registration including IP blocking. It depends on the device that's accessing the site, static vs dynamic IP addresses, shared IP addresses, mobile vs wireless, etc.
